I have to admit, I was pretty eager to head down to Langerado this year. Yes, the fact that it was at Big Cypress was appealing, as I had heard from all my phishy phriends that the place was beautiful, but I was just excited that I was going to be able to see music late at night this year.

Radiohead will headline the first two nights of the All Points West Festival, to be held August 8-10th at New Jersey’s Liberty State Park. Jack Johnson is scheduled to headline the fest’s closing night.

Today, the sixth annual Langerado Music Festival announces its initial artist lineup. The 2008 event takes place March 6–9. After five years of strong growth and consistently eclectic musical lineups, Langerado organizers have moved the event to the expansive Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation for this sixth year.

Hailed as one of the most anticipated festival line-ups of the season, the Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival is set to descend upon Lawrence Kansas – that’s right, Kansas – June 8 through 11, at Clinton State Park.

Potter has enormous range—everything from Aretha Franklin to Bonnie Raitt rattles from her pipes and the band cooks behind her; alas, the pedal goes back to the floor and cops be damned. “Nothing But The Water” is a collection of great Americana blues rock infused with so much confidence that Potter exudes a weird sort of ‘Star is Born’ aura throughout the disc—over the fence, far away and gonegonegone.
